I'd like to introduce participants to a few sites that English/ESL teachers can use (Quill/Readtheory/Flocabulary/vocaroo/Quizlet) in class, most of which students can use independently while tracking their own progress. Why Should I Watch This? Moving towards better use of video in our classrooms.
Limited Capacity seats available

How can we make sure that we are using video in ways that are supported by research and (most of all) make sense for our classrooms? This will be an interactive session where you will examine what makes an engaging video, regardless of how simple or polished it is. You will experience ways to effectively scaffold the learning that happens when we ask our learners to view or create videos. You will also have the choice to create or explore the concepts further. Please BYOD! Earphones are essential. Laptops or tablets are probably best but even a good phone will be fine.
