This informative and interactive workshop will focus on collaboration, creation and innovation in educational contexts (specifically vocational education).
Collaborate: Inclusion and appreciating diversity in the classroom.
-This segment will present an up-to-date explanation and synthesis of the current research on learning differences, the construct of inclusion and a brief summary of various general best-practices strategies for inclusive teaching.
-There is consensus among vocational education teachers that there are rising needs and challenges for differentiated instruction and inclusive teaching in the vocational sector. We are seeing an ever-increasing number of students with learning differences
Create: Cultivating knowledge and checking for understanding.
-This segment will focus on ways to create knowledge among diverse learners and how teachers can check for understanding throughout the learning process.
Innovate: Innovation through technology.
-Looking at a range of various free technologies/applications that can be used in the classroom to engage learners and for formative assessments.
