With the prevalence of mobile device use, communication has evolved from being text-based to a mixed media form such as images, audio and video clips. Our youth are now expressing themselves differently, including sexually. As technology is an integral part of their life, they now also explore and develop their own identity using the tools they have in hand. What they share and its reach has now expanded beyond the here and now. What can we do to help our students understand and reduce the risks that come with sexting and encourage empathy among them? Join us as we have an open conversation, address your concerns, share important information and collaboratively learn some new strategies for addressing sexting with our students.
